The adjustable reactor can smoothly, steplessly and continuously change the reactance value under the rated working voltage. Its main use is as an adjustable inductive load during the load test of the generator set. It can cooperate with an adjustable resistor to adjust the load rate and load power factor within a certain range.

The adjustable reactors are widely used in power generation equipment factories, power engine factories, diesel engine factories, gasoline engine factories, motor factories, shipyards, vehicle power plants and unit test stations or testing centers of related research institutes and design institutes to replace the reverse connection of inductive voltage regulator as an adjustable inductive load.
