FFM type protective capacitors can be series connected with high-voltage resistors to form RC overvoltage absorption devices, which are suitable for absorbing transient over voltage caused by opening and closing of vacuum circuit breakers (or other non re-strike switches) in 35KV AC power transmission and distribution systems to protect the high voltage electrical products in the system from high voltage damage. This product can also be used as a high voltage capacitor in other occasions.
Main technical parameters:
1. Capacitance deviation -5~+10%.
2. The loss angle tangent tan δ <0.05%.
3. The capacitance strength of the dielectric is 2.15μ, which lasts 1min.

Conditions of use:
1. The altitude of capacitor installation and operation does not exceed 1000m, and the ambient air temperature is-40~+ 40℃. The relative humidity is not more than 90%.
2. The installation site should be free of corrosive gases, vapors, conductive or explosive dust, and no severe mechanical vibration.
3. When the capacitor is put into operation, the residual voltage on its terminals does not exceed 10% of the rated voltage.
4. Overload
4.1 Stable overvoltage
The continuous operating voltage is 1.00μn, and it can run for a long time under the power frequency overvoltage of 1.2μn.
4.2 Operating overvoltage
The capacitor withstands 1.5μn of transient overvoltage (peak value) caused by non re-strike switch.
4.3 Steady-state over current
Capacitors can operate under 1.5In steady-state over current. This over current is the result of the combined effects of harmonics, maximum tolerance, and over current up to 1.2In.
