Design as a radial bearing housing allows a displacement of the housing
The housing is made of cast iron and therefore inexpensive and robust
The bearing insert has an extended inner ring with grub screws
The radial insert ball bearing housing unit is mounted on the shaft with two grub screws
Smooth running and good behavior with tilting due to the extended inner ring
Static misalignments can be compensated up to an angle of 2°
Two-piece sealing system: with sheet steel washer reinforced rubber seal inside; outside additionally with upstream slinger made of sheet steel for high mechanical protection against foreign matter
Lubricated for life; under normal operating conditions relubrication is not required

To protect against corrosion, the housing is painted; the bearing insert and the mounting surface are treated with corrosion protection oil
Pillow block bearings are preferentially suitable for occasions that require simple equipment and parts, such as agricultural machinery, transportation systems, or construction machinery. It is mainly used to bear the combined radial and axial load based on the radial load. Generally, it is not suitable to bear the axial load alone. This type of bearing can be installed with an inner ring (with a full set of rollers and retainers) and an outer ring.
This kind of bearing does not allow the shaft to be inclined relative to the housing, and additional axial force will be generated under the radial load. The size of the axial clearance of this kind of bearing has a great influence on whether the bearing can work normally. When the axial clearance is too small, the temperature rise is higher; when the axial clearance is large, the bearing is easily damaged.
