Application  

Through the extrusion test, The machine use for testing the safety performance through the extrusion/crushing/squeezing test. After testing, the battery should not catch fire,smoke or explode. It is also an essential testing device for every battery manufacturer and Research Institute.     
     
                                          
Features

1.The wire enclosed with metal fire-proof cover, which is available to prevent the flame during testing process.

2.Lighting system is designed to observe the internal testing process; The inner box materials are resistance combustible materials.

3. Crush Force controllable within range from 250N to 13KN ,meet different standards;

Standard Compliance

MT/T 1051-2007, UL1642-2005, UL2054-2005, SJ/T 11169-1998(=UL 1642:1995), GB/T31485-2015, YD 1268- 2003, SJ/T 11170-1998, GB/T 8897.4-2002, IEC 62133 etc.

Test Method

1.The battery is squeezed between the two plates and the upper plate is R75 hemispherical shape. The extrusion pressure come from the hydraulic pressure head with the diameter of the 32mm piston. After the test battery was firmly clamped, start to apply the squeezing force until pressure gauge reading reaches to 2500(17.2Mpa).It will be suddenly released when the prossure below the two plates reach 3000 pound(13KN).                                             

2.The cylindrical and prismatic battery cell need make the longitudinal axis parallel to the plane of the extrusion device for extrusion. Prismatic battery still need rotate around its longitudinal axis 90 degrees placing ,so as to make the wide and narrow side could bear the squeeze pressure. Each battery  sample is subjected to pressure in one direction. Different samples should be used in each test.
