1. Product Overview
The fully automated mechanical lime shaft kiln is a high-efficiency, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly vertical calcination equipment independently optimized for active lime production. Adopting advanced counter-current heat exchange technology and full mechanical intelligent control system, it realizes automatic feeding, proportional fuel supply, constant-temperature calcination, automatic discharging, flue gas recovery and intelligent operation monitoring throughout the whole process. Compared with traditional manual and semi-mechanical shaft kilns, this equipment features high mechanization, stable product quality, low energy consumption and minimal environmental pollution, which is the mainstream preferred equipment for large-scale, standardized and intelligent lime production in metallurgy, chemical industry, building materials and environmental protection industries.
The kiln body adopts a vertical steel structure with refractory lining, forming a scientific three-stage zoning structure of preheating, calcination and cooling. Limestone raw materials complete preheating, high-temperature calcination and rapid cooling in the kiln in sequence, realizing full utilization of waste heat and efficient decomposition of raw materials. It supports multiple fuel types including pulverized coal, natural gas, blast furnace gas and converter gas, with strong adaptability to production conditions and wide industrial applicability.
2. Working Principle
The equipment follows the counter-current heat exchange principle: qualified limestone raw materials are lifted to the top of the kiln by an automatic feeding system and evenly distributed into the kiln body. The materials slowly descend by gravity, while the high-temperature flue gas generated by fuel combustion rises upward in reverse direction. In the preheating zone, the rising high-temperature flue gas fully preheats the raw materials, removing surface moisture and pre-decomposing partial carbonate. In the middle high-temperature calcination zone, the materials are heated to 950–1200℃ to complete the chemical decomposition reaction of calcium carbonate, generating high-activity quicklime. Finally, the finished lime enters the cooling zone, where low-temperature cooling air is injected for rapid cooling. The cooled finished products are automatically discharged by the mechanical discharging system, and the waste heat generated by cooling is recycled to the combustion system to assist heating, realizing cyclic utilization of heat energy and greatly reducing comprehensive energy consumption.
The whole production process is controlled by PLC intelligent system, which automatically adjusts feeding volume, fuel supply, air intake and discharging speed according to real-time temperature, pressure and material level data in the kiln, ensuring stable and continuous calcination conditions and consistent product quality.

4. Core Product Advantages
4.1 Full Automatic Intelligent Operation, Low Labor Cost
Equipped with a mature PLC centralized control system, the equipment realizes unmanned automatic operation of the whole production link including raw material feeding, batching and fuel supply, constant-temperature calcination, automatic discharging and flue gas treatment. The system can real-time monitor key parameters such as kiln internal temperature, pressure and material level, and automatically adjust operating parameters to avoid production fluctuation caused by manual operation errors. Only 1-2 operators are required for daily patrol inspection, which greatly reduces labor investment and production management costs compared with traditional kilns.
4.2 High Energy Utilization Efficiency, Significant Energy Saving Effect
Adopting efficient counter-current heat exchange and waste heat recycling technology, the high-temperature waste heat generated by material cooling and flue gas is fully recycled and reused for raw material preheating and fuel combustion supporting, which effectively reduces heat loss. The unit heat consumption is as low as 140kg standard coal per ton of lime, 20%-30% lower than that of traditional mechanical shaft kilns. In addition, it supports the reuse of various industrial waste gases such as blast furnace gas and converter gas, turning waste into treasure and further reducing production energy consumption and operating costs.
4.3 Stable and Superior Product Quality, High Yield
The micro-negative pressure balanced operation mode ensures uniform temperature distribution in the kiln and sufficient and stable calcination of materials, effectively avoiding insufficient calcination (raw burning) and excessive calcination (over burning). The produced quicklime features high activity, uniform particle size and stable quality, with a qualified rate of over 98%. The continuous mechanical production mode eliminates intermittent production defects, realizes stable output, and can perfectly meet the high-standard lime demand of metallurgical desulfurization, chemical processing and high-end building materials industries.
4.4 Green and Environmental Protection, Low Emission
The whole equipment operates under micro-negative pressure, which completely avoids flue gas leakage and dust overflow. Equipped with matched high-efficiency dust removal and flue gas purification devices, the dust emission concentration is far lower than international environmental protection standards. The concentrated and high-purity CO₂ in flue gas can be recycled and reused for industrial production, realizing resource recycling. The whole production process has no waste water and residual waste pollution, meeting the green and low-carbon production requirements of modern industrial parks.
