1. Product Overview
Cold Rolled Steel Coil is produced by rolling pickled hot rolled steel coil at room temperature. Compared with hot rolled materials, Cold Rolled Steel Coil has smoother surface, higher dimensional accuracy and better stamping performance. It is the most widely used precision steel substrate for home appliances, automobiles, hardware and coating materials.
Cold Rolled Coil is the general name of cold rolled steel products. After annealing and skin pass rolling, Cold Rolled Coil obtains stable mechanical properties, good flatness and excellent deep drawing performance, which can meet various complex bending and forming requirements.
CR Coil is the international abbreviation for cold rolled coil. As a mainstream raw material in global steel trade, CR Coil features stable quality, uniform thickness tolerance and diverse surface grades, suitable for mass production and export sales.
2. Product Classification
2.1 By Steel Grade & Forming Performance
General Grade: SPCC, DC01, Q195 — Suitable for simple bending, structural parts and ordinary shell components.
Drawing Grade: SPCD, DC03 — Used for conventional stamping and forming parts with moderate deformation.
Deep Drawing Grade: SPCE, DC04, DC05, DC06 — Applied for high-precision deep drawing parts such as automobile panels and complex housings.
High Strength Grade: HC260LA, HC300LA — Suitable for lightweight structural and reinforcing parts.
2.2 By Delivery Condition
Annealed Soft Coil: Good ductility, perfect for deep drawing and stamping processing.
Full Hard Coil: High hardness and strength, mainly used for simple bending without deep drawing.
Skin Pass Coil: Improved flatness and smooth surface for high appearance standard parts.
2.3 By Surface Treatment
Dry Surface: No oil on surface, convenient for subsequent spraying and electroplating.
Light Oiled Surface: Uniform anti-rust oil coating for transportation and processing protection.
3. Production Process
All Cold Rolled Steel Coil, Cold Rolled Coil and CR Coil are produced through strict standardized procedures:
Raw hot rolled pickled coil inspection
Uncoiling and continuous cold rolling
Continuous annealing or bell furnace annealing
Temper rolling and flatness correction
Thickness, surface and performance inspection
Final coiling, marking and packaging
Cold rolling removes surface oxide scale, while precise annealing ensures uniform internal structure. The finished Cold Rolled Coil features smooth surface, accurate size and stable batch consistency.

6. Usage Notes
The anti-rust oil on Cold Rolled Steel Coil is temporary. Long-term storage requires dry and sealed warehouse environment.
Avoid surface scratching and collision during transportation and handling.
Select different steel grades according to processing requirements; deep drawing parts must use DC04/DC06 high-grade materials.
Clean surface oil before painting to ensure coating adhesion effect.
