1. Product Introduction
Petroleum Pipe, also known as Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), is high-pressure seamless steel pipe essential for oil & gas exploration, drilling, well cementing, hydrocarbon production and downhole operations. Main product series cover Oil Casing, Oil Tubing, drill pipe and surface line pipe.
All Petroleum Pipe are manufactured from high-quality carbon steel and low-alloy steel via hot rolling and hot expanding seamless technology. Without welding seams, the structure can withstand massive external collapse pressure, axial tension and alternating load underground.
Petroleum Pipe serves harsh working conditions including deep wells, ultra-deep wells, high-temperature & high-pressure wells, water-bearing reservoirs and sour wells with H₂S & CO₂ corrosion. Oil Casing acts as permanent borehole support to isolate formation fluids. Oil Tubing works as the flow channel for oil and gas lifting, water injection and fracturing.
All Petroleum Pipe, Oil Casing and Oil Tubing comply with international API standards and Chinese national standards, featuring precise dimensional tolerance and reliable thread sealing. Widely adopted in onshore oilfields, offshore platforms, geothermal projects, shale oil & gas and coalbed methane development.
2. Product Classification & Functions
1. Oil Casing
Oil Casing is run into borehole and cemented to support well walls and prevent rock collapse. It separates oil, gas and water formations to avoid cross-layer contamination. Oil Casing bears continuous external formation pressure and guarantees the safety of the whole wellbore.
Thread types: STC, LTC, BTC, Premium Connection
Common OD: 4-1/2" ~ 20"
Matching accessories: Couplings, thread protectors, centralizers
2. Oil Tubing
Oil Tubing is suspended inside Oil Casing to transport crude oil and natural gas from underground to surface. Besides production, Oil Tubing
is used for water injection, acidizing, fracturing and gas lifting. It requires excellent connection tightness, internal pressure resistance and corrosion resistance.
Thread types: NUE, EUE, Premium Thread
Common OD: 1.05" ~ 4-1/2"
3. Drill PipeTransmits torque to drill bits and circulates drilling fluid. It endures tension, torsion and impact load. Standard: API 5DP.
4. Line PipeApplied for surface gathering and transportation of crude oil and natural gas. Standard: API 5L (PSL1 / PSL2).
