1. Product Overview
Hot Rolled Steel Coil (HRC) is produced by continuous rough rolling and finish rolling of heated steel slabs, followed by laminar cooling and coiling. As a fundamental and widely used steel plate material, it features high toughness, good plasticity, excellent weldability, strong formability and cost performance. With flat plate shape, uniform material density and stable internal microstructure, hot rolled coils can be processed via flattening, slitting, bending, stamping and welding. It serves as the core raw material for steel structure engineering, mechanical manufacturing, pipe processing, automobile industry, infrastructure and cold rolling base materials. We provide full-range standard stock and customized production in accordance with GB, ASTM, JIS and EN standards.
Note: Regular supplies include ordinary carbon hot rolled coils and low-alloy hot rolled coils. Pickled coils, patterned coils, weather-resistant coils and pressure vessel coils are available for diverse working conditions.

Continuous casting slab inspection → Walking furnace heating → High-pressure water descaling → Multi-pass rough rolling → Precision finish rolling → Laminar cooling → Constant temperature coiling → Online straightening → Surface quality inspection → Edge trimming & slitting → Bundling & packaging → Marking and warehousing
Process Advantages: Continuous high-temperature rolling ensures uniform microstructure, low internal stress, no delamination or cracks, avoiding cracking and deformation during subsequent stamping, bending and welding.

Complying strictly with GB/T709-2019 tolerance standards with controllable thickness, width and flatness errors, ensuring flat plate shape for precision processing and large-scale steel structure construction.

8. Quality Inspection Items
All hot rolled coils are inspected batch by batch in strict accordance with national and international standards:
Visual inspection: Free of cracks, bubbles, scars, inclusions and severe oxidation defects;
Dimensional inspection: Thickness, width, flatness, coil shape and edge quality verification;
Physical & chemical test: Spectrum analysis, tensile test, yield strength, elongation and cold bending test;
Impact test: Normal & low-temperature impact test for high-grade Q355D/E;
Non-destructive testing: Ultrasonic inspection to eliminate internal delamination defects.
9. Packaging & Marking
Domestic Delivery: Reinforced steel strip binding with edge protection; each coil attached with labels of specification, grade, heat number and certificate.
Export Packaging: Waterproof & rust-proof paper + PE film wrapping + galvanized steel strip reinforcement with corner protection. Custom shipping marks including standard, grade, size, weight and origin are available.
Delivery Documents: Chinese & English material certificate, mechanical property report and factory inspection report.
10. Delivery Lead Time & MOQ
Regular stock grades (Q235B/Q355B/SS400): Shipment within 3–7 working days;
Special grades, customized thickness, pickling, flattening & slitting processing: 10–18 working days;
Small trial orders acceptable; full-container and bulk project orders enjoy priority production.
11. Important Notes
Ordinary Q235 is not suitable for low-temperature and heavy-load conditions. Q355D/E with low-temperature impact resistance is recommended for alpine and high-load projects to avoid brittle fracture.
Slight surface oxide scale is normal for hot rolled coils. Pickling and sandblasting are recommended for painting and precision processing.
Store coils in dry and ventilated areas; avoid long-term outdoor rain exposure and humid stacking to prevent rusting.
Stamping and bending parameters shall match material plasticity; avoid rapid cold bending of high-strength low-alloy steel to prevent cracking.
Welding procedures and matching welding consumables must be adopted to ensure structural welding strength.
