1. Product Overview
Container plate, the full name of which is pressure vessel steel plate, is a special steel product dedicated to the manufacture of pressure-bearing equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipelines and storage tanks, and is classified as special steel for national special equipment. Manufactured via stringent smelting, rolling and heat treatment processes, the product features precisely controlled chemical composition, mechanical properties and internal quality. Compared with ordinary carbon steel plates, container plates have lower impurity content, more uniform grain structure and sufficient toughness reserve. 2. Executive Standards & Main Grades
2.1 Core Executive Standards
The domestic mainstream standard is GB/T 713-2014 Steel Plates for Boilers and Pressure Vessels. Meanwhile, it is compatible with international standards such as ASTM (US) and EN (Europe) to meet the demands of domestic and export projects. All products have obtained special equipment material certification and can provide complete material certificates, flaw detection reports and mechanical property test reports.
2.2 Common Main Grades
2.2.1 Carbon Container Steel Plates
Q245R: Suitable for conventional medium and low pressure pressure-bearing equipment under normal temperature. It features high cost performance and superior process performance, serving as a general-purpose basic container plate.
2.2.2 Low-Alloy High-Strength Container Steel Plates
Q345R: The most widely used general grade in the market with balanced strength, toughness and weldability, suitable for medium and high pressure working conditions at normal and medium temperature. 16MnDR and Q345DR: Special low-temperature container plates with excellent low-temperature impact toughness, applicable to low-temperature environments ranging from -40℃ to -20℃. 12Cr1MoVR and 15CrMoR: Heat-resistant container plates with outstanding high-temperature resistance and creep resistance, suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure boilers and heat exchange equipment.
2.2.3 Special Container Steel Plates
Stainless steel container plates (304, 316L, etc.): Acid and alkali resistant and corrosion resistant, applicable to chemical corrosive medium environments and clean working conditions in food and pharmaceutical industries. Composite container plates (carbon steel + stainless steel composite): Integrate strength and corrosion resistance, effectively reducing the manufacturing cost of high-end equipment.

3.1 Dimension Range
Thickness: 4mm-300mm; Width: 1500mm-3000mm; Length: 6000mm-12000mm. Custom flattening, fixed-size cutting and special-shaped cutting are available, and non-standard specifications can be customized on demand.
3.2 Conventional Delivery Status
Hot rolled, normalized, normalized + tempered, and annealed. Plates for medium-high pressure and low-temperature working conditions are delivered in normalized state by default to ensure structural uniformity and performance stability.
3.3 Flaw Detection Grade
Grade I, Grade II and Grade III ultrasonic flaw detection are supported, which can be customized according to the pressure-bearing grade and safety grade of equipment to eliminate internal defects such as pores, inclusions and delamination.

Container plates are strictly controlled for harmful impurities with scientific component ratio, balancing strength, toughness and weldability:
Carbon (C): 0.12%-0.20%, ensures basic strength and avoids welding brittleness caused by excessive carbon content;
Silicon (Si): 0.15%-0.40%, strengthens the steel matrix and improves oxidation and high-temperature resistance;
Manganese (Mn): 0.80%-1.60%, refines grains and significantly improves low-temperature toughness and structural stability;

5.2 Excellent Weldability
Low carbon equivalent minimizes the risk of welding cold and hot cracks. 5.3 Wide Temperature Adaptability
Conventional plates adapt to working conditions of -20℃~475℃; dedicated low-temperature plates can withstand ultra-low temperature of -40℃ and below without low-temperature brittle fracture; heat-resistant plates can operate stably for a long time under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions at about 500℃.
5.4 High Internal Purity Quality
Produced by refining technology, the steel features dense and uniform internal structure without delamination, looseness, inclusions and other defects. Each plate is subject to ultrasonic flaw detection, delivering higher safety and reliability than ordinary steel plates.
5.5 Superior Machinability
Support secondary processing including cutting, bending, rolling, stamping and drilling. With good formability, no cracking or rebound deformation occurs after processing, adapting to the forming and manufacturing processes of various pressure vessels and storage tanks.

6.1 Carbon Container Plates (Q245R)
Applications: Normal-temperature and medium-low pressure general pressure-bearing equipment, including atmospheric storage tanks, small heat exchange equipment, general pressure vessels, water treatment pressure equipment and other general industrial scenarios.
6.2 Low-Alloy High-Strength Container Plates (Q345R)
Applications: Core medium-high pressure and medium-temperature pressure-bearing equipment such as petrochemical reaction kettles, boiler drums, high-pressure storage tanks, oil and gas transmission pressure equipment, and power plant heat exchange equipment. It is the most widely used container plate in the industrial field.
6.3 Low-Temperature Container Plates (16MnDR, Q345DR)

Available with hot-rolled black surface, sandblasting derusting and pickling shot blasting. Custom high-quality surfaces with flatness, no oxide scale, no rust and no scratches can be provided to meet the requirements of subsequent painting, welding and anti-corrosion construction.
7.3 Delivery Cycle
Conventional in-stock specifications (standard thickness and size Q245R and Q345R plates): Delivered within the same day or 1-3 working days to quickly meet the supply demands of conventional projects.
