I. Introduction Dust-free asbestos cloth is woven using a wet-spinning dust-free process. Compared to ordinary asbestos cloth, it generates less dust, is A1-grade non-combustible, heat-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, and provides insulation and thermal protection. It widely used for welding fire protection, boiler pipe insulation, and high-temperature equipment sealing; it is only recommended for emergency use in old industrial equipment, and asbestos-free ceramic fiber is recommended as a long-term replacement. II. Material and Production Process Base Materials Primarily made of asbestos fibers blended with cotton yarn and woven in warp and we directions. It adopts a wet-spinning dust-free process, resulting in tightly bound fibers. The dust release during cutting and use is far lower than that of dry-spun dusty cloth. Sub-types and Processes Ordinary dust-free asbestos cloth: Basic insulation and general welding use; Steel wire / Copper wire reinforced dust-free asbestos cloth: tensile strength and provides anti-static properties, suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure sealing scenarios; Aluminum foil-coated dust-free asbestos cloth: Reflects thermal radiation, used for the outer layer insulation of pipes. It features a high weaving density, and the fabric is flexible, allowing for arbitrary cutting and sewing. It can be processed into blankets, sealing gaskets, and fire curtains. III. Core Product Features High-temperature resistance and non-combustibility Stable long-term use at 350–50°C, short-term limit temperature of 700°C, non-combustible in open flames, and capable of blocking welding slag and high-temperature molten splashes; Low dust dust-free process The wet-spinning fiber-locking process ensures minimal dust release during normal use of the intact fabric, making it more suitable for short-term operations compared to old dry-spun asbestos cloth; Acid and alkali resistance   Insulation Strong chemical stability, resistant to weak acids, weak alkalis, oils, and steam; excellent electrical insulation properties, providing thermal insulation and protection for pipes and high-temperature electrical equipment; Flexibility and ease of processing Soft texture, can be cut, wrapped, sewn, adapting to irregular pipes, furnace doors, and flange seals; Excellent thermal insulation performance Low thermal conductivity, wrapping boilers and exhaust pipes can significantly reduce heat loss and prevent.
