1. Product Overview
Checkered plate (also known as anti-slip steel plate, lenticular steel plate) is hot rolled carbon steel and low-alloy structural steel plate. This specification only covers carbon steel and low-alloy high-strength steel checkered plates, excluding stainless steel checkered plates and galvanized checkered plates. Regular raised patterned grains are integrally hot-rolled on the plate surface, featuring anti-slip, wear resistance, high load-bearing capacity and stable structural performance. It has excellent machinability, weldability, cutting and bending performance. It is a general basic steel material widely used for industrial platforms, walkways, stair treads, equipment base plates and factory anti-slip floors.

Chinese National Standard (GB): GB/T 3277-2015 Checkered Steel Plate (Core mandatory national standard for domestic checkered plates)
ASTM Standard: ASTM A36, A572 series standards for hot rolled anti-slip checkered steel plates
European Standard (EN): EN 10025 General standard for structural steel anti-slip checkered plates
Japanese Standard (JIS): JIS G3101 SS400 Hot rolled patterned structural steel plate

3.3 Classification by Pattern Shape (Full Size In Stock)
Lenticular Pattern (Most Widely Used): Single row lenticular protrusions, moderate anti-slip performance, light dead weight and high cost performance, the dominant grade in the market
Round Bean Pattern: Dot-shaped raised grains with uniform stress distribution, outstanding wear and collision resistance, suitable for high-frequency rolling working conditions
Diamond Pattern: Closed diamond grains with the highest anti-slip level and friction coefficient, the preferred option for humid and oil-polluted working environments
4. Core Physical, Chemical and Mechanical Properties
4.1 Chemical Composition Characteristics
Harmful impurities including sulfur and phosphorus are strictly controlled; Carbon steel grades feature low carbon content for easy welding; Low-alloy grades are added with manganese and silicon trace elements to enhance overall structural strength; No chromium or nickel stainless steel alloy components contained; The base plate and patterned grains have completely consistent chemical composition with uniform overall structure and no internal delamination.
4.2 Key Mechanical Parameters (Standard Nominal Values)
Q235B Checkered Plate: Yield Strength ≥ 235MPa, Tensile Strength: 370-500MPa, Elongation ≥ 26%, applicable to light-duty static load bearing
Q355B Checkered Plate: Yield Strength ≥ 355MPa, Tensile Strength: 470-630MPa, excellent impact and compression resistance, suitable for heavy-duty dynamic load conditions
Anti-slip Performance: Surface friction coefficient ≥ 0.45, stable excellent anti-slip effect under humid working conditions
4.3 Process Characteristics
Superior comprehensive machinability: Compatible with flame cutting, plasma blanking, bending, rolling and welding fixation; Moderate surface hardness with low deformation risk; Patterns and steel substrate are integrally hot-rolled with high wear resistance and no grain falling off; Good atmospheric aging resistance with stable performance under conventional indoor and outdoor environments.

6. Delivery Status
Hot Rolled Black Surface (Standard Stock): Original hot rolled delivery without surface treatment; the first choice for general engineering projects with optimal cost
Sandblasted Finished: Oxide scale and floating rust removed with neat appearance, applicable to projects with high surface appearance requirements
Custom Pre-treatment: Primer anti-corrosion spraying available on demand (Excluding galvanizing and stainless steel anti-corrosion treatment)
7. NDT and Quality Grade
General industrial checkered plates only undergo routine visual inspection; Ultrasonic delamination testing is available for heavy-duty structural plates on demand. Qualified plates have no surface cracks, bubbles, scabs, delamination or incomplete patterns; Dimensional tolerance and pattern height comply with GB/T 3275 first-class national tolerance standard.

This series of carbon steel and low-alloy checkered plates are not applicable to strong acid, strong alkali and high corrosive working conditions. Main application scenarios:

11. Storage and Handling Precautions
1. Carbon steel is susceptible to oxidation and rusting; Store in dry and ventilated environment, avoid long-term outdoor exposure and water accumulation; Anti-corrosion spraying treatment is recommended for outdoor application;
2. Stack plates with patterned surface facing upward to prevent extrusion deformation and collision damage of raised grains;
3. Store Q235B and Q355B steel plates separately; Mixing and alternative usage are strictly prohibited for heavy-duty working conditions.
