Steel H Beam & H Beam,Q235B、SS400、Q355B/Q355C/Q355D、Q355NH、Q355NQR、Q420B、Q460C
1. Product Overview
Hot Rolled H Section Steel complies with national standard GB/T 11263-2024 Hot Rolled H and Cut T Section Steel. It features an H-shaped cross-section integrally hot rolled with parallel equal-width flanges and vertical web, distinguished from I-beam with sloped inner flanges. All flange surfaces are fully parallel with neat right-angle edges.
It is divided into two major types: hot rolled H beam and welded H beam. Integral hot rolled sections have no welding residual stress and superior bending, shear and seismic resistance; welded H beams support custom extra-large non-standard cross-sections. With light dead weight, large section modulus and high mechanical efficiency, it serves as the core load-bearing beam & column material for steel structure workshops, high-rise buildings, bridges, equipment foundations, steel pipe piles and municipal viaducts, and is the preferred section steel for prefabricated steel structures.
Load-Bearing Mechanical Principle
The symmetrical H cross-section concentrates steel on flanges far from the neutral axis, delivering much higher bending stiffness than I-beams and channel steel under equal weight. Parallel flanges simplify bolted and welded connections without extra edge preparation. Uniform metallographic structure without welding stress resists deformation and cracking under seismic and alternating heavy loads, adapting to axial compression, transverse bending and shear working conditions simultaneously.
2. Four Classifications & Codes per National Standard
HW Wide Flange H BeamFlange width ≈ section height, nearly square cross-section with excellent compression resistance, exclusively for building load-bearing columns, equipment uprights and foundation piles.Typical sizes: HW100×100, HW200×200, HW300×300
HM Medium Flange H BeamFlange width between wide and narrow types, universal for beams and columns, multi-story factory frames and secondary bridge load-bearing components.Typical sizes: HM150×100, HM294×200
HN Narrow Flange H Beam (Largest Market Demand)Flange width far smaller than section height, optimal bending performance for floor & roof main beams, secondary beams and viaduct girders.Typical sizes: HN200×100, HN400×200, HN600×200
HP Pile H BeamThickened flanges and webs with strong lateral compression resistance, used for foundation pit support, offshore wind power piles and river cofferdam bearing piles.
