1. Product Introduction
Alloy seamless steel pipes are produced by hot rolling, cold drawing or hot extrusion processes, made from premium carbon steel doped with chromium, molybdenum, nickel, manganese, vanadium and other alloying elements. Compared with conventional carbon steel tubes, they deliver outstanding tensile strength, stable high-temperature performance, reliable anti-corrosion capacity and superior low-temperature impact toughness. They are widely adopted for severe working conditions involving high heat, heavy pressure and corrosive media.

3.1 Classified by Total Alloy Content
Low-alloy Steel Pipe: Total alloy element content below 5%, represented by Q345D and 15CrMo. Cost-effective option for medium & low-pressure boilers and pressure vessels
Medium-alloy Steel Pipe: Total alloy content between 5%–10%, typical grade 12Cr1MoV. Excellent heat & pressure resistance for thermal power plants and petrochemical equipment
High-alloy Steel Pipe: Total alloy content over 10%, including T91 and nickel alloy tubes. Stable mechanical performance under extreme working conditions, used in aerospace and nuclear energy sectors
3.2 Classified by Manufacturing Technology
Hot Rolled Seamless Alloy Pipe: Manufactured by heating billets, piercing and hot rolling. High production efficiency, fit for large OD and heavy wall pipes. Outer diameter: 57–630mm, wall thickness: 3.5–100mm
Cold Drawn Seamless Alloy Pipe: Processed by cold drawing after hot rolling blank pretreatment. Features precise dimension tolerance and smooth surface, applicable for small OD thin-wall pipes. Outer diameter: 10–159mm, wall thickness: 1–20mm

6. Complete Production Flow
Raw Material Inspection: Adopt qualified alloy steel ingots or continuous casting billets; inspect chemical composition and surface defects
High-temperature Heating: Heat pipe billets to 1100–1250°C inside heating furnace for uniform metal plasticity
Piercing Forming: Process heated solid billets into hollow tube shells via piercing mill
Shaping Processing
Hot Rolling: Roll tube shells to control outer diameter and wall thickness
Cold Drawing: Pickle and phosphorate hot rolled blanks before cold drawing to improve surface finish and dimensional precision
Heat Treatment: Normalizing + tempering for T91; full annealing for 15CrMo series, to optimize metallographic structure and eliminate internal residual stress
Finishing Treatment: Straightening, end cutting, chamfering, NDT inspection (UT, MT, RT), anti-rust coating (anti-rust oil or black protective paint)
Final Inspection: Dimensional check, mechanical property test, hydrostatic pressure test (minimum test pressure ≥10MPa), full chemical composition analysis
