1. Product Grades & Classification
1.1 Classified by Strength Level
Ordinary Strength Marine Plates (Minimum Yield Strength: 235MPa)Grades: CCSA, CCSB, CCSD, CCSE (certified by China Classification Society, corresponding to international standard A/B/D/E grades)Low temperature impact resistance varies by grade: Grade A for ambient temperature, Grade B for 0℃, Grade D for -20℃, Grade E for -40℃, with gradually improved anti-crack performance under low temperature.
High Strength Marine Plates (Yield Strength Range: 315MPa ~ 420MPa)
Grade 32 (Ys ≥315MPa): AH32, DH32, EH32, FH32 (suitable for -60℃ working condition)
Grade 36 (Ys ≥355MPa, mainstream steel grade): AH36, DH36, EH36, FH36 (polar vessel dedicated)
Grade 40 (Ultra-high strength, Ys ≥390MPa): AH40, DH40, EH40, FH40
Special Purpose Marine Plates
Anti-corrosion marine plates: Added with copper, nickel and chromium alloy elements to resist seawater and salt fog erosion, ideal for oil tanks and cargo hold liners.
Polar low-temperature steel plates: FH32, FH36, FH40, minimum impact energy reaches 34J at -60℃, widely used on icebreakers and polar LNG ships.
Z-direction steel (Z15/Z25/Z35): Effectively prevents lamellar tearing, applied to thick plate critical welding joints with heavy load.
1.2 Classified by Usage
Main hull structural plates: Outer hull plates, decks, watertight bulkheads, keels and bottom plates for primary load-bearing components.
Superstructure steel plates: Materials for wheelhouse, living cabins and surrounding partitions, mostly adopting A & B grade steel.
Offshore engineering special plates: For platform jackets, support legs and lifting equipment, mainly EH36 and FH36 grades.

Remark: Sulfur and phosphorus impurities are strictly controlled. Mn/C ratio is controlled above 2.5 to guarantee low-temperature toughness and excellent weldability.

Delivery status: Hot Rolled (AR), Normalized (N), TMCP Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Process (preferred for high-strength grades), Quenched & Tempered (QT)
5. Applicable Standards & Certifications
Domestic Standard: GB/T 712-2022 Steel for Ship and Offshore Engineering Structures
Authorized Classification Society Certificates: CCS, ABS, BV, DNV, LR. All finished plates carry official classification society stamping marks.
Ultrasonic Inspection Standards: GB/T 2970, JB/T 4730. Level I / II / III UT inspection can be arranged to eliminate internal defects like cracks and inclusions.
6. Core Product Advantages
Outstanding low-temperature anti-brittle performance: Stable impact energy above 34J under -20℃ ~ -60℃, capable of enduring continuous wave impact and alternating cyclic loads at sea.
Premium welding characteristic: Low carbon equivalent value (max 0.36). TMCP production process reduces cold crack sensitivity, matching complicated hull welding construction requirements.
Good seawater corrosion resistance: Purified molten steel and optimized alloy composition reduce electrochemical corrosion and marine organism adhesion, extending vessel service life significantly.
Easy processing property: Good plasticity under hot rolled condition, supports cold bending, hot bending and plasma/flame cutting to realize complex hull forming shapes.
7. Main Application Fields
Ordinary strength grades (A/B/D/E): Inland river vessels, superstructure, decks, partition bulkheads and inner bottom plates of small & medium ocean-going ships.
High strength grades (AH36/DH36/EH36): Side hull plates, bottom plates, strength decks, keels and hatch covers of large bulk carriers, container ships and oil tankers.
Special grades (FH36 & Z-direction steel): Critical load-bearing and welding parts for polar vessels, icebreakers, LNG carriers and offshore drilling platforms.

Lead time: 5–7 working days after deposit confirmation
Quality documents: Complete classification society certificate, material test certificate and ultrasonic test report can be supplied. Custom dimensions and special inspection standards are acceptable.
Packing method: Bare steel bundle or anti-rust wrapped bundle with moisture-proof treatment, suitable for ocean and land transportation.
