◆High-speed Shearing Emulsification Machine

The WRL high-speed shear homogenization and dispersion emulsification machine is a new product developed by our enterprise based on the absorption and digestion of advanced technologies and processes from abroad. All indicators have reached the advanced level in China. The product quality fully complies with GMP technical requirements and is an ISO9001-certified product. It is particularly suitable for the emulsification and homogenization equipment for essential mixed liquids in the fields of food, beverages, chemicals, biochemistry, petrochemicals, pigments, dyes, coatings, pharmaceuticals, etc. It has the overall advantages of simple structure, small volume, light weight, easy operation, low noise and stable operation. Its most distinctive feature is that it does not use grinding media in the production process flow, integrating the functions of high-speed shearing, dispersion, emulsification, homogenization, mixing, crushing and conveying. 

The WRL high-speed shear homogenization and dispersion emulsifier is an upright installation type emulsifying equipment. The fixed and rotating parts are designed as a claw-type coupling structure. The material is simultaneously sucked in from the upper and lower parts of the main body and is centrifugally thrown out in all directions, resulting in a significant increase in the shear homogenization efficiency and avoiding the problem of dead corners in the upper part of the reactor. This product is suitable for homogenization, fine processing, and emulsification on various large and small reaction vessels and ordinary containers. Small-capacity emulsification can also be used for mobile lifting and installation. 

Working principle:

The high shear homogenization and dispersion emulsifier is a highly efficient, rapid and uniform device that distributes one or more phases into a continuous phase. Usually, these phases are mutually insoluble. Due to the high tangential speed generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor and the strong mechanical effect brought by high-frequency mechanical action, the material is subjected to intense mechanical and hydraulic shearing, centrifugal compression, liquid layer friction, impact tearing and turbulence in the narrow gap between the fixed and rotating rotors. Thus, in the presence of the corresponding mature process and appropriate additives, the immiscible solid phase, liquid phase and gas phase are uniformly and finely dispersed and emulsified in an instant. Through the high-frequency cyclic repetition, a stable and high-quality product is ultimately obtained. 

Working process:

Under the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotating rotor, the materials shown in the figure enter the feeding areas both above and below the working head and are simultaneously sucked into the working chamber from the axial direction. The strong centrifugal force causes the materials to be thrown radially into the narrow and precise gap between the stator and rotor. At the same time, under the action of centrifugal compression, impact, etc., the materials are initially dispersed and emulsified. At the outer end of the high-speed rotating rotor, a linear speed of at least 15 m/s is generated, with the maximum reaching up to 40 m/s. Strong mechanical and hydraulic shearing, liquid layer friction, and impact tearing are formed, enabling the materials to be fully dispersed, emulsified, homogenized, broken, and then ejected through the stator slots. The materials continuously exit radially at high speed. Under the resistance of the material itself and the container wall, the flow direction changes. At the same time, under the action of the axial suction force in the rotor area, two strong turbulent flows moving up and down are formed. After several cycles, the dispersion, emulsification, homogenization process is completed. 

◆Application Scope:

Food Industry: Chili sauce, sesame, fruit tea, ice cream, cream, jam, juice, soybeans, bean paste, bean paste filling, peanut milk, egg white milk, soy milk, dairy products, malted milk, flavorings, various food and beverage products, etc.

Chemical Industry: Paints, pigments, dyes, coatings, lubricants, synthetic fats, lubricating greases, diesel, petroleum catalysts, emulsified asphalt, modified asphalt, paraffin, adhesives, detergents, plastics, explosives, fiberglass, synthetic leather, resins, leather and emulsified explosives, etc.

◆ Steps of the intermittent high-shear working process of WRL:

Under the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotating rotor, the materials in the figure are simultaneously sucked into the working chamber from the upper and lower feeding areas of the working head along the axial direction.

The strong centrifugal force of the WRL intermittent high-shear emulsifier throws the materials radially into the narrow and precise gap between the stator and rotor. At the same time, under the action of centrifugal compression, impact, etc., the materials are preliminarily dispersed and emulsified.

The WRL intermittent high-shear emulsifier adjusts the outer end of the rotating rotor to generate a linear speed of at least 15 m/s, up to 40 m/s at the maximum, and forms strong mechanical and hydraulic shearing, liquid layer friction, impact tearing, allowing the materials to be fully dispersed, emulsified, homogenized, broken, and then discharged through the stator slots.

The materials are continuously ejected radially at high speed. Under the resistance of the material itself and the container wall, the flow direction changes. At the same time, under the action of the axial suction force generated in the rotor area, two strong turbulent and swirling flows are formed above and below. After several cycles, the dispersion, emulsification, homogenization process is finally completed. 

◆ Working Principle of WRL High Shear Dispersion Emulsifier:

The WRL batch-type (vertical) high shear dispersion emulsifier is a highly efficient, rapid and uniform device that distributes one or more phases into a continuous phase. Usually, these phases are immiscible with each other. Due to the high tangential speed generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor and the strong mechanical effect brought about by high-frequency motion, the immiscible solid phase, liquid phase and gas phase are dispersed and emulsified uniformly and finely in an instant under the joint action of the mature process and appropriate additives. Through the repeated high-frequency cycles, a stable and high-quality product is ultimately obtained.
