Basic Information
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose, short for HPMC, is a core water-soluble cellulose ether in the construction industry. HPMC is widely used in putty, mortar, coatings and dry-mix building materials. Product Overview
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is white fine powder, odorless and cold-water soluble, forming transparent and viscous colloid after dissolution. According to different viscosity grades, HPMC adapts to various construction scenarios. Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose effectively prevents rapid water loss and cracking of mortar and putty. With excellent temperature and alkali resistance, HPMC will not produce adverse reactions with cement, gypsum and water-based coatings. Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose is a universal additive for interior putty, thermal insulation mortar and architectural coatings.

Architectural coatings: Disperse HPMC in water and stir evenly. Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose provides thickening, anti-settling and anti-sagging effects.
Thermal insulation and bonding mortar: Add HPMC in proportion. Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose ensures sufficient hydration and stable strength.
Daily chemical auxiliary systems: HPMC acts as thickener and stabilizer to improve system uniformity and suspension performance.
