100 TPD Gold Roasting Rotary Kiln
The Gold Roasting Rotary Kiln is a specialized thermal engineering equipment designed for processing "refractory gold ores." By applying high-temperature heating, it alters the physical and chemical properties of the ore to expose the encapsulated gold particles, creating optimal conditions for subsequent cyanide leaching and gold extraction.
100 TPD (Tons Per Day) specifies its design capacity, meaning it can process approximately 100 tons of ore per day. This represents a medium-scale processing capacity, commonly utilized in small-to-medium-sized gold smelters or mineral processing plants.
⚙️ Working Principle
The core of the equipment is a slowly rotating, inclined cylinder. During operation, materials enter from the upper end and constantly tumble and move forward inside the shell as it rotates. This movement ensures thorough contact with high-temperature flue gases, achieving uniform and consistent heating.
For gold ores, the roasting process primarily involves the following reactions:
Oxidative Decomposition: Sulfides (such as pyrite and arsenopyrite) encapsulating the gold particles are oxidized at high temperatures (typically 650–750°C) to generate loose, porous oxides (such as iron oxide).
Volatilization of Impurities: Harmful impurities such as arsenic and antimony are volatilized through heating and separated via the flue gas treatment system.
Structural Alteration: The ore particles become highly porous and loose (similar to a "sponge"), allowing subsequent leaching reagents to penetrate effectively and contact the gold particles.

Pretreatment in the Gold Industry: This is its core application, specifically targeting "refractory gold ores" such as sulfidic and arsenical gold ores that are difficult to leach directly using conventional methods.
Non-Ferrous Metallurgy: Used for roasting ores or intermediate products of metals like copper, nickel, lithium, and more.
Mineral Processing: Used for the oxidative, reductive, or chloridizing roasting of minerals to alter their phase composition, preparing them for the next stage of processing.
