The Gold Roasting Rotary Kiln is a specialized thermal engineering equipment designed for processing "refractory gold ores." ⚙️ Working Principle
The core of the equipment is a slowly rotating, inclined cylinder. During operation, materials enter from the upper end and constantly tumble and move forward inside the shell as it rotates. This movement ensures thorough contact with high-temperature flue gases, achieving uniform and consistent heating.
For gold ores, the roasting process primarily involves the following reactions:
Oxidative Decomposition: Sulfides (such as pyrite and arsenopyrite) encapsulating the gold particles are oxidized at high temperatures (typically 650–750°C) to generate loose, porous oxides (such as iron oxide).
Volatilization of Impurities: Harmful impurities such as arsenic and antimony are volatilized through heating and separated via the flue gas treatment system.
Structural Alteration: The ore particles become highly porous and loose (similar to a "sponge"), allowing subsequent leaching reagents to penetrate effectively and contact the gold particles.
