Reinforcement and Transformation of the Spray Layer of the Desulfurization Tower in Power Plants. Manufacturer With 15 Years of Construction Experience
The fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) slurry spray pipe used in the flue gas desulfurization project is usually manufactured in sections and components for easy transportation during the manufacturing process. During on - site installation, experienced fiberglass installers use the winding and bonding process to connect the various parts. At present, the connection between the slurry nozzle and the fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) spray pipe has also basically changed from the previous flange connection to the winding and bonding process. The winding and bonding process has the advantages of high connection strength, low leakage risk, simple process, convenient construction, and low cost.
I. The winding layer structure of the fiberglass spray pipe is divided into three parts from the outside to the inside
1. Wear - resistant layer: This part belongs to the outermost structure of the winding layer and is composed of glass fiber surface mat, resin, and wear - resistant silicon carbide. Its main functions are corrosion resistance and wear resistance. The mass ratio of the glass fiber surface mat, resin, and silicon carbide in this layer is 1:57:38, and the thickness is about 5mm.
2. Corrosion - resistant layer: This part is composed of a resin - rich layer and an intermediate layer, which are made up of glass fiber surface mat and resin, forming corrosion - resistant properties and located below the wear - resistant layer. The resin content of the resin - rich layer is greater than 90%, and the thickness is about 5mm; the resin content of the intermediate layer is 70% - 80%, and the thickness is about 3 - 4mm.
3. Reinforcement layer: This part is directly wound on the outer wall of the pipe and is mainly designed to bear pressure and loads under other conditions. Its thickness is determined by calculation according to formula (1) based on the load conditions. The resin content of this layer is 30% - 40%, and it is composed of glass fiber, chopped fiber mat, and resin. It mainly meets the design requirements for stiffness and strength.
II. Inspection of the winding layer of the fiberglass spray pipe
After the winding and bonding construction is completed, the winding layer should be inspected according to the requirements in HG/T20696 - 1999 "Design Regulations for Fiberglass Chemical Equipment". It is considered qualified if there are no defects such as delamination, it is tight and solid, and there are no fine lines, cracks, exposed fibers, dry spots, inclusions, bubbles, small holes, resin nodules, etc.
