FRP Alkali Washing Tower, Alkali Absorption Tower, Acid-Base Neutralization Tower Application Principle

The process of using the difference in solubility of a gas mixture in a liquid absorbent to dissolve the easily soluble components in the absorbent and separate them from other components is called absorption. During operation, the liquid absorbent sprayed from the top of the tower is in close contact with the gas mixture rising from the bottom of the tower on the packing or trays in each layer of the tower for absorption. Absorption accompanied by a chemical reaction is called chemical absorption. According to the gas-liquid interaction mode during absorption, the absorption tower can be divided into surface type, membrane type, spray type, bubble type, etc.

The flow mode of the gas and liquid phases in the tower can be countercurrent or cocurrent. Usually, countercurrent operation is adopted. The absorbent is added from the top of the tower and flows from top to bottom, contacting with the gas flowing from bottom to top. The liquid that has absorbed the absorbate is discharged from the bottom of the tower, and the purified gas is discharged from the top of the tower.
