BK7 window plate is a standard optical component made of borosilicate crown glass, with the corresponding grade K9 in China. It has excellent optical, mechanical, and chemical stability and is one of the most versatile and cost-effective window materials in the visible to near-infrared wavelength range.
Its spectrum covers 350 nm to 2.5 μ m, with a visible light transmittance of about 92%. After double-sided coating with anti reflective film, it can reach over 98%; refractive index 1.5168@587.6 nm， Low dispersion (Abbe number 64.2) can effectively reduce chromatic aberration and wavefront distortion. The material has high hardness, moderate thermal expansion coefficient, good chemical stability, excellent mechanical and thermal stability, and is easy to polish and coat with precision. The surface quality can reach 20-10 scratches/pitting or higher.
It can be made into various sizes such as circular and rectangular, and is widely used in imaging systems, laser optical paths, spectrometers, biometric recognition, medical instruments, optical communication and precision equipment. It serves as a protective window or optical plane in the optical path, providing stable and low loss optical transmission and environmental isolation.
