1. Product Definition
Patterned steel plate, also known as checkered steel plate, is a hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel plate with raised patterns on the surface. The patterns and base plate are integrally formed, featuring anti-slip, load-bearing and decorative functions. Common materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, weathering steel, etc.

4. Pattern Types and Features
Diamond Pattern: Evenly distributed with excellent anti-slip performance; static friction coefficient ≥0.5 in dry condition and ≥0.3 in wet condition; the first choice for industrial platforms and walkways.
Lentil Pattern: Smooth pattern with uniform stress bearing and good bending resistance; widely used for stair treads and ship decks.
Round Bean Pattern: Balanced anti-slip performance and decorative appearance; commonly used for decorative walkways and indoor platforms.
Combined Pattern: Combined with two or more patterns, achieving optimal comprehensive effects of anti-slip, load-bearing and steel material saving.
5. Main Specifications & Dimensions
Base Plate Thickness: 1.4mm-16.0mm; conventional sizes: 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, 5.0mm, 6.0mm, 8.0mm.
Width: 600mm-1800mm, increasing by 50mm (e.g. 1000mm, 1250mm, 1500mm).
Length: 2000mm-12000mm, increasing by 100mm (e.g. 4000mm, 6000mm, 8000mm).
Pattern Height: No less than 0.2 times of base plate thickness, commonly 3mm-8mm.
Marking Example: Q235B Diamond Pattern 4×1000×4000mm GB/T 33974-2017.
6. Core Performance
Anti-slip Performance: Raised surface patterns greatly increase friction force, effectively preventing slipping in humid and oily environments to ensure walking safety.
High Strength & Load-bearing Capacity: Stable structure with heavy load resistance; applicable for heavy machinery pedals, factory load-bearing platforms and vehicle bottom plates.
Corrosion Resistance: Carbon steel can be galvanized or painted for anti-corrosion; stainless steel and weathering steel have inherent corrosion resistance to extend service life.
Cost Efficiency: Saves steel material under the same strength, reducing project cost.
Decorative Property: Regular and beautiful patterns, suitable for building exterior walls, indoor ceilings and other decorative projects.
7. Surface Treatment
Hot-rolled Original Surface: Retains hot-rolled surface with low cost; used for industrial non-decorative occasions.
Hot-dip Galvanized: Rust and corrosion resistant, suitable for outdoor and humid environments with uniform and firm zinc coating.
Spray Painting / Plastic Coating: Optional colors with anti-corrosion and decorative effects; applied to indoor and outdoor decoration projects.

9. Weight Calculation
Theoretical Weight (kg): Base Plate Thickness(mm) × Width(m) × Length(m) × 7.85 (carbon steel density) + Additional Pattern Weight (about 5%-10%).
Delivery Weight: Can be delivered by theoretical weight or actual weight, subject to contract agreement.
10. Packaging & Delivery
Packaging: Bundled packaging, surface film protection against scratches, corner protection; each bundle marked with specification, material and batch number.
Delivery Cycle: Spot goods within 5-7 days.
Quality Assurance: Attached with mill test certificate, including chemical composition, mechanical properties and dimensional inspection data.
