Detailed Description of Angle Steel Products

I. Product Overview

Angle steel, also known as angle iron, is a long strip of steel with an L-shaped cross-section. It is divided into two categories: equal-angle steel and unequal-angle steel. It has the characteristics of light structure, high strength and easy installation. It is widely used in building structures, bridges, transmission towers, machinery manufacturing, shelf construction, container frames and other fields, and is an indispensable basic profile in industrial and civil construction. All our products comply with relevant national standards, are rolled from high-quality raw materials, with flat surface, precise dimensions and stable mechanical properties, which can meet the needs of conventional projects and customized requirements.

II. Material Description

Our products are mainly made of carbon structural steel, with a small amount of low-alloy high-strength steel and stainless steel to adapt to different scenario needs. The specific classification and characteristics are as follows:

  • Q235 Series (Q235A, Q235B, Q235C, Q235D): The most widely used general-purpose material, with moderate strength, high cost performance, good plasticity and toughness, can withstand normal temperature welding. It is suitable for conventional scenarios such as daily building brackets, shelves, simple steel structures and guardrails. Among them, Q235B is the most commonly used model with balanced performance and strong adaptability.

  • Q355 Series (Q355A, Q355B, Q355C, etc.): High-strength material, which can replace Q235 series. Under the same stress requirements, it can reduce the thickness of angle steel and save material costs. It is suitable for heavy-load and large-span steel structures, such as plant load-bearing beams, mechanical brackets, large-scale infrastructure projects and other scenarios.

  • Stainless Steel (304, 316, etc.): It has excellent corrosion resistance, rust resistance, high temperature resistance and acid-base resistance. It is suitable for humid, acid-base environments and outdoor coastal facilities, such as chemical equipment, marine engineering, food processing equipment and other special scenarios.

  • Other Special Materials: Such as Q420 low-alloy angle steel, which has higher strength and is used in special industrial scenarios such as ultra-high pressure and heavy load (with small dosage), and can be customized and supplied according to customer needs.

III. Model and Specification Description

The specification of angle steel is expressed as "side width × side thickness" (for equal-angle steel) or "long side width × short side width × side thickness" (for unequal-angle steel), with the unit of mm. All specifications comply with relevant national standards such as GB/T706-2008. The specific commonly used specifications are as follows, and special specifications can be customized and produced.

(I) Equal-Angle Steel (Common Specifications)

Side width range: 20mm-200mm, side thickness range: 3mm-24mm. Examples of core commonly used specifications:

  • 20×20×3, 25×25×3, 30×30×3, 30×30×4

  • 40×40×4, 50×50×5, 50×50×6, 63×63×5

  • 70×70×6, 80×80×6, 80×80×8, 90×90×8

  • 100×100×8, 100×100×10, 125×125×10, 160×160×12

(II) Unequal-Angle Steel (Common Specifications)

Long side width range: 25mm-200mm, short side width range: 16mm-125mm, side thickness range: 3mm-18mm. Examples of core commonly used specifications:

  • 25×16×3, 32×20×3, 40×25×4, 50×32×4

  • 63×40×5, 75×50×5, 80×50×6, 90×56×6

  • 100×63×8, 125×80×8, 140×90×10, 160×100×12

Supplementary Note: The length of angle steel of all specifications can be customized according to customer needs. The conventional length is 6m, 9m and 12m. Special fixed-length lengths (such as 3m, 4.5m and 15m) need to be communicated and confirmed in advance, and the customization cycle can be flexibly adjusted.

IV. Chemical Composition Table

The chemical composition of angle steel belongs to the general structural rolled steel series. The core verification indicators are four items: C, Mn, P and S. The chemical composition content of different material grades is different. The specific standards are as follows (unit: %), and the detection method complies with GB223, JISG1211—1215 and other standard requirements.

VI. Shipping and Delivery Instructions

  • Shipping Cycle: 5-7 days.

  • Packaging Method: Bare packaging or steel strip binding packaging is adopted. It is reasonably bound according to product size and transportation needs to prevent collision and rust during transportation; export products can adopt standard sea transportation packaging, and packaging methods can be customized on demand.

  • Transportation Method: Logistics distribution is adopted by default, covering all provinces and cities in the country. The delivery time can be accelerated in core regions such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, East China and South China; for large-volume orders, exclusive transportation fleets can be coordinated, and the specific transportation cost is calculated according to the receiving address and order quantity.

  • Acceptance Standard: After arrival, acceptance can be carried out in accordance with national standards (GB/T706-2008, GB/T2101-2008) and order agreements. VII. Notes

  • Storage: It should be stored in a dry, ventilated and cool warehouse to avoid moisture and rain, and prevent rust; angle steel of different materials and specifications should be stored separately for easy management and access.

  • Processing: Corresponding welding electrodes should be selected according to the material during welding to avoid welding defects; the surface burrs should be cleaned in time after cutting and punching to prevent scratches.

  • Use: Select appropriate materials and specifications according to actual stress requirements, avoid overloading, and ensure project safety; stainless steel angle steel should avoid contact with corrosive substances to extend service life.
