I. Product Definition

Color coated steel coil (also known as pre-painted steel coil, colored coated steel sheet coil) is a metal composite material made by taking hot-dip galvanized sheet, hot-dip aluminized zinc sheet, electro-galvanized sheet, galvanized aluminum-magnesium sheet and other materials as the base plate, performing surface pretreatment (chemical degreasing, cleaning, conversion film treatment), applying one or more layers of organic coatings by continuous roll coating process, and then curing by high-temperature baking. It combines the strength of steel with the anti-corrosion and decorative properties of coatings, and can be directly processed and used.

II. Product Structure (Five-Layer Protection)

  • Base Plate: The core supporting layer, which determines the mechanical strength and basic corrosion resistance;

  • Chemical Conversion Layer: The "bridge" between the base plate and the coating, which improves adhesion and enhances rust resistance;

  • Primer Layer: Enhances anti-corrosion and ensures interlayer stability, usually epoxy/polyurethane primer is used;

V. Production Process

  1. Pretreatment: Base plate degreasing → water washing → chemical conversion (chromating/non-chromium passivation) → drying, removing oil stains and rust, improving coating adhesion;

  2. Roll Coating: 2/1 (2 layers on top, 1 layer on bottom, sandwich panel), 2/2 (2 layers on top and bottom, single panel), 2/1M (2 layers on top and bottom, one-time baking), coating thickness accuracy of ±1μm;

  3. Baking Curing: Topcoat is cross-linked at 200-240℃, backcoat at 180-200℃ to form a dense protective film;

  4. Post-Treatment: Cooling → embossing/printing/film coating → winding → packaging and warehousing.
