Infrared Carbon and Sulfur Analyzer
The rapid CS cube is designed for the rapid and automatic analysis of carbon and sulfur in coal, coke, or biomass. Its excellent sensitivity (the lowest limit of detection (LOD) for S in coal can be as low as 2ppm) makes it a versatile tool for the analysis of all samples in this application. Wrapping the sample in tin foil avoids the entry of dust and contaminants into the analyzer.
Main features:
Industry-leading sample throughput
An integrated 60-position autosampler is included as standard.
A unique chlorine detection module is available as an optional accessory.
Easy maintenance
The patented ball valve enables zero-blank sample transfer.
A 10-year warranty is provided for the combustion furnace and the thermal conductivity detection cell.
Fully automatic operation
The rapid CS cube comes standard with an integrated autosampler, enabling high-throughput, safe, and unattended sample analysis overnight. The unique zero-blank ball valve technology is simply and ingeniously designed to ensure reliable sample transfer. During operation, all positions can be selected and reloaded at any time. Depending on the sample throughput and size, 80/120-position autosamplers are also available.
Strong application flexibility
The rapid CS cube can analyze samples such as 400mg of coal, less than 1mg of fine chemicals, or 100mg of plant samples. Even without similar matrix standards, the results are always accurate and do not require complex sample pre-treatment. In addition, the instrument can directly detect the TOC content of solid samples after external acidification. A TIC determination module can also be added as needed to determine TOC by the subtraction method (TC - TIC). The instrument can also easily analyze liquid samples. Even for the analysis of 1mg solid samples, unparalleled precision and accuracy can be achieved.
Unique chlorine detection module
The rapid CS cube can be equipped with a fast and simple chlorine detection module, eliminating the need to purchase a separate chlorine element analyzer. Chlorine is detected by a solid-state electrochemical detection cell, which is almost maintenance-free, unlike microcoulometric detectors. The analysis of chlorine in coke only takes 15 minutes. Elementar offers various detectors to meet the detection of samples with a concentration range of 0.005 - 100%.
