Pensky-Martens Flash Point Tester: PMA 500
Pursue perfect flash point testing
The PMA 500 is a Pensky-Martens closed-cup flash point tester for flash point determination according to the standard test methods ASTM D93, EN ISO 2719 and IP 34. It is the most ideal solution for automatic high-precision flash point testing in the petroleum, chemical and perfume industries as well as testing laboratories. The PMA 500 has safety level protection measures and can achieve a high sample throughput at the same time. The automatic measurement function, precise heating control and simple and convenient operation are the basis for obtaining accurate flash point test results with the PMA 500.
Key Features
Save Time
The optimized cooling technology of the PMA 500 ensures quick preparation for subsequent sample testing (even for different sample types), thus saving valuable time. This means that you can process more samples in the same time compared with other instruments on the market, saving up to 10% of the test time per measurement. Thanks to the new encapsulated electronic igniter with a 10-fold extended service life, the PMA 500 requires almost no maintenance, ensuring excellent reproducibility and repeatability while reducing operating costs.
Some additional accessories expand the scope of use of the instrument. The PMA 500 can be optionally equipped with a gas ignition device, a mini test cup and the matching calibration tools and calibration procedure guides.
Unparalleled Ease of Use
The quick and convenient operation of the PMA 500 makes flash point testing easier than ever before. The customizable user interface with a smartphone-like appearance can be operated via a 7-inch touch screen, which can display all the data related to the completion of the flash point test in real time. Menu items and commonly used methods can be directly accessed from the main screen, and these items can be customized. With advanced technology, the instrument can achieve excellent heating control and outstanding measurement accuracy, ensuring flash point testing in accordance with the specified standards.
Safety Level
Meeting safety standards is the top priority of Anton Paar. The PMA 500 is entirely made of high-quality components to ensure safety-level protection and durability. The PMA 500 has a unique fire detection function and an integrated fire extinguisher. In addition, the instrument can display the temperatures of the test chamber and the sample in real time, allowing you to know when it is safe to operate the instrument.
Automated Operation Steps Make Your Work More Convenient
The PMA 500 features a miniaturized and modern design that provides you with an excellent user experience. Thanks to the integrated automatic motor-driven multi-functional probe, it ensures a safe and smooth connection between sensors and actuators (such as stirrers and multi-functional detectors). You don't need to spend time connecting cables before or after the flash point test. In addition, the PMA 500 is highly automated. You can move the test cup lid up and down with minimal manual operation. This function is optional and can be selectively turned off, enabling you to flexibly measure a variety of samples.
Fully Meet International Standard Requirements
By using the PMA 500 flash point tester, you can accurately measure the flash points of petroleum products, biodiesel, solvents, chemicals, and soft asphalt, and obtain flash point test results that meet international standard requirements. The automatic flash point tester fully meets the requirements of ASTM D93, ISO 2719, and IP 34 methods.
