Product Overview:
The Pharma 24 HME Hot Melt Twin-Screw Extruder is an upgraded version of the Pharm16 HME with basically the same structure and function. It is an ideal continuous processing equipment for research, development, and production on a certain scale in the pharmaceutical industry, and is suitable for installing Process Analytical Technology (PAT) instruments. The Pharma 24 HME Hot Melt Twin-Screw Extruder adopts a horizontally split barrel (with a length-to-diameter ratio L/D of up to 40:1) and is designed according to GMP standards. The quick-unlock clamp makes it easy to open the barrel to access the screw and processing contact surfaces for cleaning or configuration changes. The upper and lower halves of the barrel and the screw are easy to disassemble for cleaning or product conversion. The barrel has a modular structure with interchangeable sections for solids, liquids, and vents. It is equipped with a low-maintenance brushless AC speed-regulating motor and an easy-to-use and clean touch-screen control interface. The programmable controller integrates data collection, and the data can be downloaded to a remote computer for archiving and analysis using optional software. The controller contains stored preset extruder parameters for repeated use as processing conditions.
