Dual self-cleaning filter, also known as dual-switching self-cleaning filter, is an efficient and practical multi-purpose filtration equipment, which plays an important role in many industrial fields.
I. Structural Composition
It is usually composed of two stainless steel filters in parallel, with a novel and reasonable overall structure. Taking a common design as an example, a two-position six-way reversing valve or two three-way ball valves are used to assemble two single-cylinder filters on a base. The connecting pipeline generally adopts the union or clamp connection method, and the inlet and outlet valves are opened and closed by three-way ball valves.
II. Working Principle
Its working principle is ingenious and effectively overcomes the defects of traditional single-cylinder filters. During the working process, the liquid flows in from the inlet, is filtered by the filter element and then flows out from the outlet, and the impurities are intercepted in the filter element. When the filter element of the single-cylinder filter is clogged to a certain extent and needs to be cleaned or replaced, if it is a traditional single-cylinder filter, the main engine must be stopped to replace the filter element, which not only wastes time but also cannot meet the continuous working needs of the main engine. The dual self-cleaning filter can solve this problem well. When the filter element of one of the filters is clogged and needs to be replaced, there is no need to stop the main engine. For example, for the one with a three-way ball valve structure, as long as the three-way ball valve is switched to the other filter, the other filter can immediately participate in the work, and then the clogged filter element can be replaced. Moreover, a small amount of leakage is allowed in the filter cartridge on the side where the filter element needs to be replaced. For the type with self-cleaning design, it has a variety of control methods, such as manual, differential pressure, time, PLC program logic control, etc. During cleaning, the cleaning water volume is very small, only 1% of the filter's water output, the flushing time is 2 - 15 seconds, and the whole system can supply water continuously.
