I. Product Overview
The TRM-ZS7 Road Traffic Automatic Weather Monitoring System developed and produced by our company consists of several expressway automatic weather stations distributed along the expressway and connected into a network.It automatically monitors visibility, wind direction, wind speed, air temperature, humidity, rainfall, and road surface conditions (including surface temperature, dryness, dampness, wetness, snow, ice, ice layer thickness, snow cover thickness, skid resistance, etc.) along the expressway. The monitoring data is transmitted to the monitoring center in real time for reference by the traffic control system.Under severe or extreme weather conditions, the system can issue timely warning alerts and notify managers and drivers through multiple methods, so as to improve the safety level of expressway driving.
The system is composed of road traffic automatic weather stations, data transmission modules, data processing and application center, and road monitoring units.The meteorological elements observable by the expressway automatic weather station include:Conventional meteorological elements (wind, temperature, humidity, rainfall, pressure)Visibility ,Road surface conditions (road surface temperature, dry/wet status, snow, icing, etc.)
II. Product Features
1.Adopts the world’s most advanced road snow measurement technology (using state-of-the-art laser measurement), enabling high-precision measurement of ice and snow up to a thickness of over 1 meter, and accurately measuring snow depth on road surfaces.
2.Based on spectral analysis principles, the system separately detects:road surface water, icing, snow cover, and ice layer thickness.It also measures visibility, air temperature and humidity, road surface temperature, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure, rainfall, and other parameters.
3.Performs long-distance remote sensing detection of road conditions, ensuring accurate measurement even under heavy traffic.
4.Attractive and robust structure, salt-fog resistant and anti-corrosive, suitable for use in coastal areas.
5.Non-buried installation requires no lane closure or road damage, making installation faster and easier.
6.Can be integrated into existing highway automatic weather monitoring networks.
7.Equipped with a standard RS232 communication interface for connection to a PC for data download.It supports real-time PC monitoring and can also operate independently to display and store all measured parameters.
8.Supports wireless network communication.With a wireless modem, the system realizes long-distance network monitoring or remote data measurement via GSM/GPRS networks, with no distance limitations.Each weather monitoring node is equipped with a wireless communication port.The master control computer at the central weather station centrally monitors data from all weather stations in the network for unified data integration and statistics.
9.The TRM-ZS7 Automatic Weather Station Management Software runs on Windows XP or later.It displays real-time data updated every 10 seconds, automatically stores hourly data (storage interval configurable), and supports automatic printing via a connected printer.Data storage capacity exceeds one year in standard Excel format for use by other applications.
10.The TRM-ZS7 data logger uses a high-performance microprocessor as the main CPU and large-capacity data memory, capable of storing hourly data continuously for more than one year.It features industrial standard design, portable shock-resistant structure, large-screen Chinese character graphic LCD, and soft touch keys, suitable for harsh industrial environments.It supports power failure protection: when AC power is interrupted, the rechargeable battery maintains operation for more than 72 hours.
11.The system supports multiple power supply modes:AC/DC dual power supply, with optional solar battery power supply.
12.Can be equipped with a variety of indoor and outdoor display screens as options.
III. System Composition
The road traffic environment monitoring system consists of an automatic weather monitoring system, HD video monitoring system, mobile handheld monitoring & management terminal, and Sunshine Smart Cloud Integrated Information Control Platform.
1.Automatic Weather Monitoring System
The automatic weather monitoring system is composed of an integrated ultrasonic weather station, road surface condition sensor, visibility meter, rain fog droplet spectrometer, meteorological ecological environment monitor, mounting brackets, and other components.
Meteorological monitoring parameters include: ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure, rainfall, visibility, etc.Road surface condition monitoring includes: road surface dryness, dampness, wetness, rain, water film, ice film, ice layer thickness, snow cover thickness, etc.
a.Integrated Ultrasonic Weather Station
The integrated ultrasonic weather station combines temperature, humidity, wind, and barometric pressure monitoring in one unit.It adopts ultrasonic anemometer technology to realize real-time monitoring of conventional meteorological and environmental parameters, featuring high accuracy, good stability, and maintenance-free operation.

The new multi-function wind tunnel introduced by the Sunshine Meteorological Wind Tunnel Laboratory is the first high-precision equipment in China that integrates both light wind anemometer calibration and air volume meter calibration functions. It solves the technical challenges of stability and uniformity in low wind speed calibration. It can accurately calibrate wind speeds ranging from gentle breezes below 1 m/s to strong winds above 30 m/s, and its comprehensive technical indexes have reached the advanced domestic level.
All integrated ultrasonic weather stations are calibrated in this wind tunnel before delivery. Only those passing the calibration are allowed to leave the factory, ensuring that users are provided with products of higher quality, reliability and accuracy.
b.Laser Remote Sensing Road Surface Condition Sensor
The YGLM-Z2 Laser Remote Sensing Road Surface Condition Sensor adopts multi-spectral measurement and laser ranging technology. Without being embedded into the road surface, the sensor can accurately detect road surface conditions including icing, snow cover, water film thickness, skid resistance, and road surface temperature. The monitor integrates a microprocessor to identify road surface status.
Water exhibits different absorption at different wavelengths; the spectral characteristics change when water accumulates on roads or runways, allowing the system to measure various surface conditions such as dampness, wetness, ice, snow, and frost. The laser ranging principle ensures accurate measurement of water, ice, and snow. Water and ice are detected independently, and the laser can measure snow cover thickness over a wide area.
These outstanding features and high performance enable accurate early warning before abnormal road conditions occur, allowing early detection of all potential driving hazards and timely implementation of warning and response measures.

c.Visibility Meter
Model NJD-2 visibility meter is equipped with an optical transmitter and a scattering receiver, and integrates high-speed digital signal processing and control components with self-diagnosis function.
It provides three measuring ranges: A: 5 m ~ 10 km
· B: 5 m ~ 30 km C: 5 m ~ 80 km
The instrument fully complies with the transportation industry standard Road Traffic Meteorological Environment – Visibility Detector (JT/T 714-2008).It is widely used for continuous visibility monitoring under low-visibility conditions in highway traffic.

IV.Meteorological Ecological Environment Monitor
This meteorological ecological environment monitor uses a high-performance microprocessor as the main control CPU and is equipped with a large-capacity data memory, which can continuously store hourly data for more than one year (storage time is configurable).
It adopts an industrial control standard design and a portable shock-resistant structure. It is equipped with a large-screen Chinese character LCD (displaying multiple meteorological parameters on one screen, replacing a PC) and soft-touch membrane keys. It is suitable for use in harsh industrial environments.
The monitor is equipped with power-off protection: when AC power fails, the rechargeable battery can maintain operation for more than 72 hours. It can work with a PC for simultaneous monitoring, or operate independently when disconnected from a PC.
The system supports multiple power supply modes: dual AC/DC power supply, or optional solar battery power supply.
V.Mounting Bracket
The mounting bracket serves as the equipment support pole for constructing various meteorological and environmental monitoring stations.The main body is made of stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and high wind resistance.High-quality surface treatment further enhances its anti-corrosion and anti-rust performance, ensuring strong weather resistance in different natural environments.
The standard configurations are 10m, 6m, and 3m in height. Custom sizes are also available according to user requirements.

2. HD Video Monitoring System
The road traffic video information monitoring system is based on the third-generation full-IP video surveillance system (IPVS).
It mainly installs camera systems and control pan-tilts at different locations along traffic roads to monitor environmental conditions in various areas.Through remote pan-tilt operation, operators in the monitoring center can control the viewing direction of the cameras to fully monitor road traffic conditions.
The system can be connected to the traffic management platform to guide or control congested road sections.Combined with data provided by the environmental monitoring system, it can effectively formulate traffic environment improvement plans.
The 24-hour unattended safety monitoring reduces the workload of operators, safeguards the construction of efficient and convenient road traffic, and provides effective protection for residents’ living environment.

3. Sunshine Smart Cloud Integrated Information Control Platform
The Smart City Cloud Service Control Software is developed based on our company’s control software platform, integrating our self-developed cloud platform and intelligent video surveillance platform technologies. It supports smartphone APP applications to realize real-time uploading and display of monitoring data and real-time online viewing of intelligent surveillance video. It also enables remote control of the expressway monitoring system via the software.
On the monitoring platform, the number and latitude/longitude of each intelligent control point are visually displayed. Users can easily search by number to access all data and images of the target monitoring point. All data and surveillance images can be shared over the network. As long as users install our APP and have network access, they can view the required data anytime and anywhere.
