I.Product Overview

The EC-A1 Ultrasonic Wind Speed and Direction Sensor is an upgraded version of conventional mechanical wind speed and direction sensors. Based on advanced ultrasonic wind measurement technology, it features an integrated structural design with high integration and a compact size. It requires no on-site calibration or maintenance and is suitable for various harsh environments such as terrestrial and marine areas.

In addition, its excellent anti-interference capability and corrosion resistance make it a truly worry-free device after installation. With flexible design, the ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor can output multiple signal types including digital and analog signals, meeting diverse user requirements. It is widely used in various gradient wind environment monitoring systems.


II.Working Principle

The working principle of the EC-A1 Ultrasonic Wind Speed and Direction Sensor is to measure wind speed by using the ultrasonic time-difference method. The propagation speed of sound in air is superimposed with the air flow velocity in the wind direction. If the ultrasonic wave propagates in the same direction as the wind, its speed will increase; otherwise, its speed will decrease. Therefore, under fixed detection conditions, the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in air corresponds to the wind speed function. Accurate wind speed and direction values can be obtained through calculation.
