1. Product Overview
The EC-8SX Integrated Wind Speed & Direction Sensor perfectly combines a wind speed sensor and a wind direction sensor into a single, compact unit. This integrated design makes installation and carrying more convenient while eliminating the need for on-site wiring and separate mounting, significantly reducing installation complexity.
Manufactured using a precision die-casting process with specialized molds, the sensor features high mechanical strength, excellent weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and waterproof performance. It is lightweight, has a low starting threshold, and exhibits low inertia, making it highly responsive to wind changes.
The EC-8SX is widely used in various fields, including:

2. Measurement Principle
Wind Direction Measurement (Photoelectric Type)
The wind direction sensor adopts a low-inertia lightweight metal vane that responds to wind and drives a coaxial code disc to rotate. The disc is encoded in Gray code and scanned by a photoelectric sensor to generate an electrical signal corresponding to the wind direction.
Wind Speed Measurement (Photoelectric Type)
The wind speed sensor uses a low-inertia carbon fiber cup rotor that rotates with the wind and drives a coaxial slotted disc. The disc is scanned by a photoelectric sensor, generating pulse signals whose frequency corresponds to the rotational speed, allowing easy data collection and processing.
