1. Product Overview
The L3 Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is a high-precision instrument designed for accurate measurement of liquid precipitation, rainfall intensity, and rainfall duration. It is widely used in meteorological stations, hydrological monitoring, agriculture, national defense, highways, railways, and water conservancy sectors.
The sensor complies with the following standards:

With its robust structure, stable performance, and excellent compatibility, the L3 rain gauge is an ideal solution for real-time rainfall monitoring and data acquisition systems.
2. Working Principle
The tipping bucket mechanism collects rainfall through a stainless-steel funnel and filter mesh. When a preset amount of water accumulates in one side of the tipping bucket, it tips over under gravity, triggering a magnetic reed switch to generate a pulse signal. Each pulse corresponds to a fixed rainfall amount, which can be recorded and transmitted to data loggers or monitoring systems.
