Integration of Single-Flange Hydrostatic Level Gauge with Differential Pressure Transmitter
This solution combines a single-flange hydrostatic level gauge with a high-performance differential pressure transmitter to form a direct-installation liquid level measurement system designed for complex working conditions. The system utilizes the single-flange hydrostatic level gauge as the primary sensing unit in direct contact with the medium, where its flange diaphragm directly senses the hydrostatic pressure inside the container. The differential pressure transmitter serves as the secondary signal processing and transmission unit, converting the hydrostatic pressure signal into a standard industrial output.
This integrated design combines the advantages of both components:
Component Function Remarks 1. Single-Flange Hydrostatic Level Gauge (Primary Instrument) - Directly mounted on the container sidewall or bottom via the flange
- Diaphragm senses the medium's hydrostatic pressure (P = ρ·g·H)- Diaphragm material customizable based on medium corrosiveness and sanitary requirements (e.g., 316L, Hastelloy, PTFE-coated)
- Flange standards optional (DN50/80/100, PN16/40, ANSI, etc.)2. High-Performance Differential Pressure Transmitter (Secondary Instrument) - Receives pressure signals transmitted from the diaphragm
- Performs signal amplification, temperature compensation, and linearization
- Outputs 4–20mA (with HART/Profibus communication protocols)- Typically configured as absolute or gauge pressure reference, selected based on working conditions
- Accuracy up to 0.075% F.S. with high long-term stability3. Connection Method - Pressure transmission to the transmitter sensing unit via capillary tubes or rigid connecting rods inside the flange - No external impulse piping required, avoiding clogging/leakage
- Can integrate remote seal structure for high-temperature media
