Features of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Mortar:

1. Strong chemical inertness: Resistant to strong corrosion, with very low metal ion precipitation, avoiding sample contamination.

2. Ultra-low surface energy (non-stickiness): Smooth surface, samples are not easy to adhere, easy to clean after grinding, without residue. Suitable for processing sticky, oily or high-purity samples.

3. Wide working temperature range: Resistant to temperatures from -200°C to +260°C, can be sterilized at high temperatures or used for low-temperature grinding.

4. Electrical insulation & low friction coefficient:

- Non-conductive, suitable for grinding electronic materials.

- Extremely low friction coefficient, making the grinding process smoother.

5. Mechanical properties:

- Soft texture (low Mohs hardness), suitable for gentle grinding to avoid excessive fragmentation of samples.

- Strong impact resistance, not easy to break.




Compared with agate or ceramic mortars, it is more resistant to impact and chemical corrosion. Widely used in laboratory sample pre-treatment, mainly including:
