The Woodward 8200-1300 is an integrated graphical front panel HMI designed to control single or dual (split) actuator steam turbines with LVDC (18-32 Vdc) power supply.
Woodward’s 8200-1301 unit is an integrated graphical front panel HMI with AC/DC (88-132 Vac or 90-150 Vdc) power and is part of the 505D digital governor turbine control family.
The Woodward 505D Series Digital Governor Turbine Control Product 8200-1302 is an integrated graphics front panel HMI with Marine/ATEX compliant LVDC (18-32 Vdc).
The 8200-1302 has a variety of available features:
Automatic boot sequencing for hot and cold starts, with temperature input options
Critical velocity avoidance in the three-speed segment
Ten external alarm inputs
Ten external DI trip inputs
Trip indication of trip and alert events with associated RTC time stamps
Dual speed and load dynamic
Indication of peak speed of overdrive trip
Zero speed detection
Long range droop
Frequency dead zone
The unit also offers three normal operation modes, including configuration, operation and calibration modes.
The unit includes two redundant speed inputs and can accept a magnetic pick up unit, eddy current probe or proximity probe. It has an analog input (8) and can be configured for any of the 27 functions. The device also has an additional twenty contact inputs. The first four of these contacts are used by default for downtime to raise speed setpoints, reset, and lower speed setpoints. Others can be configured as needed. In addition, the unit has two 4-20 mA control outputs and eight type C relay contact outputs.
The front panel of the 8200-1302 includes an emergency trip key, a backspace/delete key, a shift key, as well as the View, Mode, ESC, and Home keys. It also has navigation cross keys, soft key commands, and four leds for correlating the state of the control and hardware.
