Main Application IndustriesPaper Industry:
Applications: Press rolls, dryer drums (Yankee dryers), calender rolls, guide rolls, spreader rolls, reel drums (winding rolls), size press rolls, etc.
Functions: Dehydrating, drying, calendering to enhance surface smoothness, sizing (applying coating), guiding the paper web, controlling tension, winding the finished product.
Printing Industry:
Applications: Impression cylinders, ink form rollers, distributor rollers, plate cylinders, guide rollers (paper/film), chill rolls (cooling rolls), rewinding rolls, etc. (in offset, gravure, flexo, coating equipment).
Functions: Transferring ink, applying pressure for image transfer, cooling/solidifying ink/coatings, guiding the substrate (paper, film, etc.).
Steel Industry:
Applications: Mill rolls (work rolls, backup rolls, intermediate rolls), conveyor table rolls, leveler rolls (straightening rolls), pinch rolls, coiler mandrels, guard rolls (guide rolls), etc.
Functions: Applying immense pressure to metal billets/blooms for plastic deformation (rolling), conveying hot slabs/plates, correcting plate shape (flatness), gripping and guiding, coiling steel strips. This is one of the most demanding fields for steel roll performance.
Plastics and Rubber Processing Industry:
Applications: Calender rolls, extruder polishing/cooling rolls, guide rolls, pull rolls (haul-off rolls), cooling rolls, laminating rolls, embossing rolls, etc.
Functions: Calendering molten plastic/rubber into sheets/films, shaping, cooling, pulling (traction), laminating different material layers, surface embossing.
Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industry:

Applications: Conveyor idler rolls (flat idlers, troughing idlers, impact idlers), drive pulleys, bend pulleys, take-up pulleys.
Functions: Supporting the conveyor belt and material weight, transmitting driving force, changing belt direction, maintaining belt tension. Although polymer rolls may be used in some light-duty applications, steel rolls are still widely used in heavy-duty, high-temperature, or high-precision scenarios.
Wood Processing Industry:
Applications: Veneer dryer drums, hot press platen support rolls (or directly as heated press rolls), backing rolls (pressure rolls) for sanding drums, conveyor rolls, veneer/panel winding rolls, etc.
Functions: Conveying veneer through dryers, supporting press platens/direct heating and pressing, supporting the sanding belt for sanding, winding veneer/panels.
Automotive Manufacturing:
Applications: Strip uncoiler/recoiler rolls, feed rolls for stamping lines, roll forming line roll sets, conveyor/transfer rolls for paint lines, test rig drums/dynamometer rolls, etc.
