In the metallurgy industry, rubber rollers are critical components in production lines for steel rolling, continuous casting, pickling, and galvanizing. They are primarily used in the conveying, steering, tensioning, and cleaning of strips. Their properties of heat resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance are essential for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of production lines.

Main types and applications include:

1. Tension Rollers: In continuous processing lines (e.g., continuous annealing lines, galvanizing lines), they create and maintain strip tension through friction, ensuring the strip runs smoothly through the process section without deviation or wrinkling. They are typically made from heat-resistant EPDM or FKM.

2. Bend Rollers and Idler Rollers: Used to change the direction of the strip or support its weight. They require a smooth surface, wear resistance, and excellent static/dynamic balance to avoid scratching the strip surface.

3. Wringer / Squeegee Rollers: Located at the exit of cleaning or pickling sections, used in pairs. They utilize elastic deformation pressure to wring liquids (acid, cleaning solution) from the strip surface, reducing residual liquid and carryover, saving medium consumption, and improving subsequent process results. Often made of acid-alkali resistant NBR or CR.

4. Coating Rollers: In galvanizing or color coating lines, they are used to uniformly apply molten zinc or paint to the steel strip surface. These rollers have extremely high requirements for material precision, heat resistance, and medium resistance.
