The WOODWARD 8290-184 module is a speed control device belonging to the Electric Governor (EPG) series, mainly used for precise speed control of diesel engines, gasoline engines and gas turbines. The relevant introduction is as follows:


Working Principle: It is used in conjunction with specific Woodward actuators (such as models 1712, 1724, 512 and 524). It monitors the speed of the engine or turbine by receiving signals from the magnetic pickup, and adjusts the actuator according to the set value, thereby controlling the fuel supply and achieving precise speed control.
