The single-threaded type silicon carbide rod, known as Single Spiral Shape SiC Heating Elements (SS type), is also referred to as SC type or LD type.
Crafted from specially formulated high-density reaction sintered silicon carbide, the SS type heating element achieves a hot zone density of 2.8 g/cm³, supports a maximum operating temperature of 1650°C, and offers an extended service life. With a single-end wire design, it ensures effortless installation.

Advantages of SS Type SiC Heating Element
The single-threaded silicon carbide heating element features a spiral groove heating section, offering superior resistance to high temperatures and corrosion compared to standard products, making it ideal for operation under demanding conditions.
The spiral groove in the hot zone reduces the cross-sectional area, enhancing the resistance ratio to promote cooling at the ends while maximizing heat in the active zone. Special cold ends can be welded to optimize this resistance ratio further.
The SG type silicon carbide heating element, with its high-density, low-porosity construction, excels in harsh environments. It's high density prevents oxidation of the internal crystal lattice structure, while the design ensures exceptionally slow aging characteristics.
Connection MethodTo ensure a low-resistance contact surface, the ends are equipped with aluminum tape.
Electrical connections are secured using flat aluminum braided tape and spring clips, providing a reliable and efficient setup.
