DB Type SiC Heating Element
The DB type silicon carbide rod, featuring a larger diameter, is engineered through a specialized manufacturing process. It comprises a high-resistivity hot zone and two low-resistivity thickened cold zones, rigidly connected for optimal performance.
Our unique connection technology guarantees seamless mechanical and electrical operation. Both the hot and cold zones are crafted from highly uniform self-bonding silicon carbide.
The DB type silicon carbide heating element, constructed from high-density, high-purity silicon carbide, stands out as a cost-effective and widely preferred heating solution, excelling in high-temperature and demanding environments.
Also known as the dumbbell type or big head rod, the DB type silicon carbide heating element offers versatile design options.

Installation and ReplacementThe DB-type silicon carbide heating rod is designed as a self-supporting unit, suitable for both vertical and horizontal installation.
Replacement can be performed while the furnace is at operating temperature. Begin by switching off the power to the element being replaced, then loosen the spring clips and aluminum braided tape.
Insert the new silicon carbide heating element into the hot furnace at a steady, controlled speed to prevent aluminum from melting at the ends, while avoiding excessive speed that could induce thermal shock. This replacement process is safely executable during furnace operation.
Advantages of DB Type Silicon Carbide Heating RodThe DB type silicon carbide rod delivers exceptional benefits, including high temperature resistance, minimal aging, rapid heating, corrosion resistance, extended lifespan, and minimal deformation at elevated temperatures.
ApplicationsThe DB-type silicon carbide rod is widely utilized in small box furnaces, experimental furnaces, tunnel furnaces, muffle furnaces, and similar heating systems. It is also extensively applied across industries such as ceramics, electronics, magnetic materials, powder metallurgy, rare earth phosphors, lithium battery materials, and precision casting.
