U Shape Molybdenum Disilicide Rod
The U-shaped MoSi2 heating element is designed to resemble the English letter "U," offering durability and reliability at high temperatures. It is most commonly used in a hanging configuration, with the bottom of the "U" facing downward. The element comprises two cold ends (Lu) and a single U-shaped hot end (Le). The cold end diameter is twice that of the hot end, connected via welding. The cold ends are metallized with aluminium to provide a low-resistance contact surface, with electrical connections facilitated by flat braided aluminium strips.
