Application scenarios:
Safety Instrument System (SIS) for Large-scale refining and chemical plants
Scene: Safety interlock control of core equipment such as catalytic cracking units, hydrocracking units, and ethylene cracking furnaces.
Application: The 4351B module is connected to on-site pressure sensors, temperature transmitters, flow switches and other devices to transmit real-time process parameters (such as reactor pressure and furnace tube temperature) to the triple redundant control system (Triconex). At the same time, it receives the emergency shutdown (ESD) instructions issued by the system to control the actions of safety valves, shut-off valves and other actuators. Ensure that safety protection is triggered quickly under abnormal working conditions to prevent accidents such as explosions and leaks.
Gas turbine power station control system
Real-time monitoring and interlock protection of gas turbine speed, vibration and exhaust temperature.
Application: The module interacts with the distributed control system (DCS) through the Ethernet interface. When abnormal bearing vibration or exhaust temperature exceeds the limit is detected, it quickly transmits a signal to the Triconex system to trigger the fuel valve to close or the unit to shut down, preventing equipment damage.
Safety interlock system for blast furnace ironmaking
Monitoring and emergency control of top pressure, furnace temperature and gas concentration in blast furnaces.
Application: The 4351B module is connected to the gas analyzer and the furnace top pressure sensor through the RS-485 interface, and transmits the data to the safety PLC. When the gas concentration exceeds the standard or the furnace top pressure is abnormal, the gas transmission pipeline is cut off in a linked manner, and nitrogen purge is initiated to avoid the risk of explosion.
Protection of key equipment for continuous casting machines
Scene: Precise control and fault protection of the liquid level of the continuous casting mold and the speed of the tension straightening machine.
Application: The module communicates with the liquid level gauge and encoder, and feeds back the data to the control system in real time. When the liquid level in the mold is too low or the straightener gets stuck, the module triggers an emergency stop to prevent steel leakage accidents and ensure production safety.
Safety control of LNG receiving terminals
Scene: The temperature and pressure monitoring of liquefied natural gas storage tanks are linked with the sprinkler system.
Application: The module connects the temperature sensor of the storage tank and the pressure transmitter. When the temperature of the LNG storage tank rises and the pressure exceeds the threshold, the module triggers the sprinkler system to start, reducing the temperature of the storage tank. At the same time, the data is transmitted to the safety PLC for interlock protection.
Key process control in the pharmaceutical and food industries
Scene: Monitoring of temperature and pressure compliance in aseptic filling lines (must meet FDA/GMP standards).
Application: The module communicates with the temperature verification system and pressure sensors via Ethernet to ensure that production process parameters (such as the temperature of the sterilizer) are recorded in real time and transmitted to the control system. When the parameters deviate from the set values, an alarm is triggered, and at the same time, it meets the traceability data storage requirements of regulations.
