Magnesium Chloride
Magnesium chloride is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula MgCl2 and a molecular weight of 95.211. It is a colorless flaky crystal, slightly soluble in acetone, and soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, and pyridine. It deliquesces and emits smoke in moist air, and sublimates when white-hot in a stream of hydrogen. Magnesium chloride is mainly distributed in the Qaidam Salt Lake in China. [6] The Qarhan Salt Lake National Mining Park in Golmud, Qinghai Province is the largest natural salt lake and the largest soluble potassium-magnesium salt deposit in my country. It is also a world-class natural laboratory for studying the formation of potassium-magnesium salt deposits. The reserves of magnesium chloride are 1.65 billion tons.
