ATMP-- Aminotrimethylenephosphonic Acid
a chemical substance, has a molecular formula of C3H12NO9P3. Solid aminotrimethylenephosphonic acid is easily soluble in water, with a melting point above 195°C and a decomposition temperature of 200~212°C. Liquid products are easily soluble in water. One of the commonly used varieties of organic phosphonic acid, it has the best scale inhibition effect on calcium carbonate. It has good corrosion inhibition performance when used in high concentrations.
Performance and Uses
Chelating performance: ATMP has good chelating ability and can effectively combine with metal ions to prevent mineral deposition and scale formation in water.
Scale inhibition performance: ATMP can effectively prevent scale-forming salts in water from forming scale, especially the formation of calcium carbonate scale. This makes it widely used in circulating cooling water systems, boiler water treatment, oilfield water treatment, etc.
Corrosion inhibition performance: When the concentration in water is high, ATMP shows good corrosion inhibition effect and can reduce the corrosion of metal equipment or pipelines.
