CE certification for wall stickers/wallpapers - scope of application
This standard applies to all forms of rolls, panels and wallpaper products defined in EN 235, which are hung on interior walls, partitions or ceilings by adhesives and whose main purpose is decoration. It does not apply to wall coverings whose main purpose is structural or protective (such as vapor or moisture barriers).
CE certification for wall stickers/wallpapers - test items
Reaction to fire: Determined and evaluated according to EN13501-1, minimum requirement is Class E
Release of Heavy Metal: Test and evaluation according to EN12149
Release of formaldehyde:Test and evaluation according to EN12149
Release of Vinyl Choloride Monoer:Test and evaluation according to EN12149
Thermal conductivity if necessary

CE Certification for Wall Stickers/Wallpapers - CE Certification Process
1. Determine the type of product that needs to be certified and submit an application
2. Determine the European product directives. Wall stickers/wallpapers must comply with the new EU Construction Products Regulation CPR 305/2011/EU
3. Determine the European harmonized standards. Wall stickers/wallpapers must comply with the harmonized standards
4. Test and evaluate according to the CPR directives and harmonized standards. The EU Notified Body conducts according to certification system 1 or system 3
5. Obtain a test report and certificate issued by the EU Notified Body (if certification according to system 1 requires factory inspection)
6. Issue a Declaration of Performance
7. Affix the CE mark with the Notified Body code to the product packaging
8. Sell freely in the European market
CE Certification for Wall Stickers/Wallpapers - Certification System
System 1: When flame retardants are added to the product, System 1 must be used to apply for CE certification. The notified body conducts type testing, factory inspection and continuous supervision.
System 3: When flame retardants are not added to the product, the notified body conducts type testing to determine the product type.
System 4: When there is no fire protection requirement for the product, you can apply according to System 4, and the factory will conduct type testing and declare the product's compliance by itself.
