EN 14716 Stretched ceilings — Requirements and test methods
EN 14716CE Marking – Standard Scope：
This document specifies the characteristics, specifications and test methods for stretched ceilings made up of single or multi-layer sheets, coated fabrics or fabrics made up of coated or monofilament yarn with a fastening system.
It also specifies the method of conformity assessment for stretched ceilings.
EN 14716 CE Marking - Introduction
CE stands for ConformitéEuropéenne, "European conformity" in French. It is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the European market. Then what is CE mean for the manufacturer and trader who putLaminate flooring into European market?
The CE marking certifies that a product has met safety, environmental protection, health and consumers protection required by Construction Product Regulation 305/2011/EU and related standards (European harmonized standard EN 15102), moreover, it could avoid technical barriers reasonably to trade freely in European market and open other international market.
From 1 January 2007 on, all the laminate flooring which would put into European market should meet related directive and standard, tested, certified and affix CE mark.
EN 14716 CE Marking – Certification Process：
1. Determine thetype of products to be certified and submit the application
2. Confirm theEuropean Product Directive, Stretched ceilings must comply with the new EUbuilding Products regulation CPR 305/2011/EU
3. Determine theEuropean harmonized standard, mineral Stretched ceilings must comply with harmonized standardEN 14716
4.According to theCPR directive and harmonized standard EN 14716 for the evaluation of the test,the European Union certification body in accordance with the certificationsystem 3 test certification
5.Obtain the report or/and certificate awarded by EU Notified Body
6.Sign the DOP document "Declaration of Performance"
7.Affix "CE Mark" on the product
8.Trade in European market freely
