API6D slab gate valve is a kind of sliding valve whose closing part is parallel gate. The closing part can be a single gate or a double gate with an opening mechanism between them. The pressing force from the gate to the valve seat is controlled by the medium pressure acting on the floating gate or floating valve seat. If it is a double gate slab gate valve, the opening mechanism between the two gates can supplement this pressing force.
API6D slab gate valve can be divided into manual slab gate valve, pneumatic slab gate valve and electric slab gate valve according to driving mode. It can be divided into slab gate valve with a diversion hole and slab gate valve without a diversion hole.
API6D slab gate valve is suitable for natural gas, petroleum, chemical, environmental protection, urban pipeline, gas pipeline and other transmission pipeline, vent system and steam storage device. The slab gate valve is used as opening and closing equipment. Z43 single gate valve with diversion hole is suitable for long-distance pipeline of natural gas exploitation and purification.

The slab gate valve with diversion hole is used for the pipeline requiring pigging through the ball, and the pipeline without diversion hole is used for the pipeline without pigging.
API6D slab gate valve advantages: small flow resistance, the flow resistance without necking is similar to that of short pipe. The slab gate valve with diversion hole is installed on the pipeline and can be used for pigging directly. Since the gate is sliding on two seat surfaces, the liquid of slab gate valve can be applied to medium with suspended particles, and the sealing surface of slab gate valve is actually automatic positioning. The sealing surface of the valve seat will not be damaged by thermal deformation of the valve body. Moreover, even if the valve is closed in cold condition, the thermal elongation of the valve stem will not overload the sealing surface.
