Stainless steel wedge wire screen filter candles can be used for candle filters of applications such as: high flow water filter, automatic backwashing water filter, ballast water filter, beer PVPP filter, filter media support for gravel or diatomite earth/ kieselguhr.
The adapter of the wedge wire screen filter candles can be inner or outer thread, depending on the candle filter design. Other types such as 222, 226 or other o-ring sealing type can also be customized.
The flow direction of the wedge wire screen filter candle is from outside to inside by default. Reversed direction ( from inside to ouside) should be well noticed in drawing or requirements.
Wedge wire is the filter media which are made from shaped vee wire. The profile wires are accurately aligned and then welded to the support rods mostly by automatic resistance welding. Both the profile and the support wires can be with certain wedge shape or other section shape such as water drop , circle, or keystone. Wedge wire mainly shows in two forms: slotted tubes (cylindrical filter element) and flat screen (sieve).
