Peeler centrifuge

Function

Automatic siphon centrifuge is a solid-liquid separation equipment which adopts continuous operation and intermittent discharging. It is widely used in processing of starch for dehydration of starch slurry. The starch is dehydrated to reach the required water content (less than 40%). After dehydration by a peeler centrifuge, the water content of cassava starch can reach 36.5%.

working principle:

During the working process of the peeler centrifuge, the rotating drum runs at full speed, generating centrifugal force. At the same time, the feeding valve automatically opens, and the suspension enters the drum from the feeding tube.

Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is discharged from the outlet through the filter screen and the hole in the wall of the rotating drum, while the solid is left in the rotating drum to form a filter cake. After reaching the specified time, the filter cake shall be washed without feeding. After washing, the filter cake shall be separated until it reaches the required dryness degree. Finally, the peeler cuts into the cake layer, scraping the cake off and draining it out of the hopper.
