Spring applied air release brake with large torque
HABB air brake is also a kind of pneumatic friction brake, while it is normal brake, that is to say, it is spring applied air release brake. Its working is reverse of NAB normal releasing air brake. In normal status, HABB brake is braked by springs, after supplying air pressire, brake is released. It is suitable for preventing accident and emergency braking, such as entertainment equipment, packing machine, printing machine and etc.
HABB HDBB model normal braking brake, its cylinder and installation frame is separated. Installation frame is fixed on flange plate stably. If air is intercepted, it stops by braking springs. If air is supplied, it is released. If supply air pressure from flow control valve, cylinder will be move, pan head screw and piston rack rotating together, compressing braking springs, friction plate and bushing disc separated, brake released. If exhausting air pressure, springs compress piston rack, friction plate touched with bushing disc, brake linked.
There are four models of spring applied air release brake, it including HABB-5, HABB-10, HABB-20, HABB-40. This normal braking brake is also can produce high braking force from 59N.m to 451N.m, braking force is depends on springs quantity, spring quantity more, its braking force is large, too. From above technical data sheet, we can acknowledge that this brake is also bore shaft brake, its bore diameter is 25-75mm. Different model of brake, its braking force is different, too. On the other hand, when air pressure larger, its braking force is larger, too.
This HABB model brake is also a kind of friction type brake, so it can be rotating in fast speed, from 1800r/min to 3600r/min. On the other hand, because its friction plate is non-asbestos, so it is suitable for fast connecting and fast rotating.

There is one important point that as installation frame is fixed on flange plate, so when supplying air source, this air cylinder will be back to flange plate direction, so it needs to save a safe certain distance for it, in case of cylinder crashes to flange plate and damaged.
