The machining characteristics of hardened steel:

(1) Hardened steel has high hardness, high strength and almost no plasticity;

(2) When processing high-hardness hardened steel parts, the cutting resistance is large and the cutting temperature is high;

(3) Due to the high brittleness of the quenched steel, it is not easy to produce built-up edge, and the surface roughness of the workpiece is not easy to guarantee;

(4) The thermal conductivity is poor, and the cutting heat is difficult to carry away by the chips.
